STUDENTS

NALS student members have unique needs and we are here to serve and assist you on your path to achieving a long and successful professional legal career.  

In addition to scholarships offered by NALS of Tucson & So. AZ locally and by NALS of Arizona state-wide, student members are encouraged to attend monthly educational seminars, seasonal state conferences, annual regional conferences and semi-annual national conferences. Student members are also welcomed to join and participate in chapter activities through assisting on event committees and serving alongside NALS leaders in the community.  

NALS leaders work hard to mentor student members and assist them in the advancement and development of their education and then later in their legal career. Many of NALS's members have been employed in the legal community for decades, and the value and benefits of their sharing their knowledge and experience to a student entering the workforce is immeasurable.

Membership in NALS is a vital step towards achieving professional excellence. Students are entitled to many benefits afforded regular members such as discounts on educational materials and products and discounts on seminars and conferences. In addition to the $19 per year student membership NALS also offers an associate membership to educators for $53 per year which will include a subscription to the NALS magazine for legal professionals, @Law.

Joining now will give students a head start in gaining employment and credibility in the legal profession. Membership in NALS will demonstrate to perspective employers professionalism and dedication and will make them look at your program for future employees.

There is a life line for legal professionals and that life line is NALS. With state and local chapters located across the United States there are endless networking opportunities. NALS also offers its popular Online Learning Center which covers new topics each week via a chat room located on the NALS website.

This format allows members and students to compare notes across the country on topics affecting their careers. There is also an Online Study Group for those preparing for the ALS, PLS or PP exam.
