NALS of Tucson & So. AZ promotes education for students preparing themselves for a legal career by offering scholarships to students pursuing a college education and members pursuing a certification. Graduating high school students and current college students are encouraged to apply for The June E. Wilson Memorial Scholarship which can assist with paying for books, tuition, or other school-related expenses.* is also available to professionals employed in the legal support professions who wish to attend conferences or CLE seminars, or obtain a NALS certification.*
NALS of Tucson & So. AZ leaders and members work throughout the year to raise funds to award annual scholarships in amounts varying from $250 to $1,000. A determination as to the number of awards and the amounts awarded depends upon the financial state of affairs of the association. Scholarship funds are to be used for any legal field related expense (i.e. tuition, books). Monies will be paid directly to the institution or organization directly. Any unused funds will be forfeited if not used by the end of the scholarship payment period. $1000 STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP The scholarship is geared toward graduating high school students and current college students pursuing education at a local community college, university or trade college, focusing on eventually working in a legal profession post-college. Funds will be paid directly to the institution and may not be used to pay off student loans already in effect. More information can be found on our scholarship information sheet.
